What is this? The breath controller is different from the woodwind controller. It is just the pressure sensor for breath. What makes it unique is that when it is connected to the base station (and so is a MIDI keyboard) it can do other things that traditional 3rd party breath sensors can't. Mainly is that it uses the MIDI keyboard as a fingering source, meaning NoteOn and NoteOff messages can be gated to the breath. In this manner you can get perfect timing with correct velocities and breath response.
Physical construction will be a small 1/2" x 3/4" box with a mouthpiece and a wire that goes to the base station. It will be able to be clamped to a mic stand or have a bendy neck piece that can be mounted to other objects.
This hardware does not yet have a prototype, and is still in the planning stage
