Hello @all (who seem to be rather few at the moment ) just a very brief intro from my side: I'm Petra from Germany, 56, physicist, and interested in electronic woodwind devices. I play an EWI-USB, to send midi to a DynaSample XPression module. I modified both the EWI and the XPression already to better suit my desires: As a former (hobby!) flutist I completely reorganized the EWI's air duct system to get more throughput and less proneness to saliva condensation. On the XPression I attached a self-built "power bank" to provide me with about 3.5 hrs of continuous AC free playing facilities. (Some German fora links may follow if someone is interested.) At the moment I experiment with an Arduino module to implement some "breathable keytar". Present state: Breath controller masking "master keyboard" midi transmissions to synthesizer to provide reasonable expression events is working quite well, even without degrading at the problematic relative onset jitter of breath and key hits. On the long run my goal is a comprehensive, "one grip", accumulator powered module that serves both as synthesizer and power amp, in union with a sensible loudspeaker (some 30 W) to play together with conventional acoustic instruments. I'd love to attach a variety of MIDI sending, breath aware controllers wirelessly. This may be the EWI-USB (with some small modification or add-on for cutting the wire) as well as any custom-built alternative module. Cheers, Petra
